Introduction
To reflect the evolving nature of woodturning and the increased participation in the allied crafts of scroll sawing and pyrography, the
TPA&IA has revised the sections and classes for the 2007 Competition. In keeping with the initiative to attract wider sponsorship, increase prize money and to develop a premium competition in coming years,
the TPA&IA have moderately raised entry fees.
The revision of the woodturning classes has been made to encourage wider participation from woodturners with novice, intermediate and open
class skills. The inclusion of the new wood turning classes, Class 1 "Any Collaboratively Turned Item/Set", Classes 2, 11 & 17 "Any Turned Item/Set" will permit the inclusion
of "Wood Art" pieces and of collaboratively completed pieces.
