2011 Townsville Show

Dates for next years annual Show are 1 - 4 July 2011. Details will be placed on the web site in November 2010 so this will be the most notice we have had in many a year. Our thanks to Barry Crow for getting things moveing with the TPAI as we have had some delays in the last couble of years. Well done Bazza.

The Festival of the Forest

    Dates: The Festival of the Forest opens on the first Saturday in October each year and remains open daily for two weeks.
    Entries close: TBA  Competitive Entry Forms, FORM 1 must be forwarded so as to reach the Hon. Secretary, Festival of the Forest, P. O. Box 53, Ravenshoe. Q 4888, FAXED TO 40976407, or may be E-mailed to :tigerex10@bigpond.com.au on or before TBA September 2007. LATE ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED

    Entries received: All items for competition or for sale should be delivered to the Secretary at FESTIVAL HALL, Ravenshoe by TBA  but certainly no LATER THAN 6 p.m. Friday 6 October.

    Collection of Entries: All articles may be collected from  TBA October 2007.

    Prize Money:
    Open: In each Section 1st - $TBA, 2nd - $TBA, 3rd - $TBA;
    Most Successful Exhibitor : $TBA - Must win prizes in at least three Sections.
    Grand Champion of Exhibition: -$TBA
    Novice: First only in each section - $TBA
    School: In each Section 1st - $TBA, 2nd - $TBA, 3rd - $TBA
    Grand Champion School Exhibit: - $TBA

    Categories:
    H. Wood turning - spindle.
    I. Wood turning - plate.
    J. Wood turning - other.     This may be a combination of both spindle and plate or other form of turning e.g. Hollow Vessels etc.)
    K. Wood burning.

    Comments: The main condition for entry to the competition is that the timber items be crafted in Australian indigenous timbers. Each competitor may enter a maximum of three (3) works in any one of the Sections A to J. Please refer to the official Conditions of Entry.
